My MDS doctor says that most MDS patients experience the bone pain in the Iliac bones but mine runs from the buttock down the back of the leg and concentrates near the ankle bone. My HSS doctor says that pain is a result of arthritis and spinal stenosis. Just wondered if other MDS patients have experienced what I’m going through and if they have tried any remedies. Thanks for contacting me. Del F.

That is not MDS bone pain.. I’ve had it. MDS bone pain is relagated to the large bones. Typically leg and sternum. Her bone pain is likely result of stenosis.

    Hi,

Just curious if you had a bone marrow biopsy before the pain started. When they go in to get the sample, there are nerves that can get irritated. Those nerves continue down your leg. It might be worth asking your doctor about.

    Have a great day!

I too have pain after treatment but it does concentrate in ‘big bones’ and can be intense – Claritin seems to help
