Hi, I'm Jeff a 77-year-old man, and today was not great for me. I was diagnosed with MDS about 3 months ago. I was given some sort of shot originally for a few weeks with no positive result, then I was given 2 units of blood as my count was very low. That felt great! I had lots of energy. Then I started with Remlimid, a few weeks ago. and so far, nothing has changed. Other than feeling tired and sleeping more than normal, I feel good, and can do most things a 77 year can do. Today I'm depressed more than normal. The Doctor was very supportive and said to give it more time, but I'm scared and see myself dying. The doctor also spoke about some additional options. Some sort of infusion where i get it 5 days in one week, once a month. This scares the crap out of me, and besides my wife, I have no one to really talk to. I feel hopeless. Should I?
